RENO, Nevada—Bytware, Inc., the award-winning developer of monitoring, security, and notification solutions for the iSeries and eServer i5 announced today that it is shortening the name of its ServerProven flagship security product from StandGuard Network Security to simply StandGuard. “We decided to make the change to better position the StandGuard product at the head of our growing family of security solutions,” explained Christopher Jones, Marketing Manager for Bytware. “Network Security implied a niche role that did not truly encompass the broad power of StandGuard.”
Additional offerings, including StandGuard Anti-Virus for iSeries and StandGuardAudit, can be combined to enhance overall protection to an extent not previously available on the platform. StandGuard Anti-Virus is the world’s first and only native virus protection solution for the iSeries. A fully-functional 15-day trial is now shipping with all i5/OS systems and upgrades.
