Bytware, Inc., world leader in iSeries monitoring, security, and notification solutions, is pleased to announce that all of its iSeries solutions have received renewal of ServerProven status from IBM. IBM Announces New Rebate Offer—Up to $68,000!
Effective May 3, 2005, IBM has updated its popular ServerProven rebate program with a new offer that can provide you with a rebate of up to $68,000 ($85,000 Canadian) if you acquire a qualifying new ServerProven solution, such as Bytware’s MessengerPlus, MessengerConsole, StandGuard, StandGuard Anti-Virus, StandGuard Recycle Bin, and PeekPlus.

PTF Available for SkyTel Customers Using Messenger
Bytware has released a PTF that corrects issues with replying to SkyTel pages using MessengerPlus and MessengerConsole. Messenger users with current support contracts can download the PTF from Support Central using the following link. (A valid Messenger support ID and password is required.)

Bytware Receives District ADDY Award, Competes in Nationals
After winning three Silver ADDY Awards in the Northern Nevada competition, Bytware has won an additional Silver ADDY at the American Advertising Federation’s District 14 competition, which took place March 30 - April 1 at South Lake Tahoe, California. Bytware was awarded a District ADDY for its “Get a Clue” game pieces that tie into the Great Security Caper game, a centerpiece of the company’s 2004 marketing campaign.

Alexander Zenta Wins the Drawing for the Apple iPod!
The Great Security Caper, which was played out on the website of the fictional newspaper “The Houston Record,” has wrapped and Alexander Zenta was the winner of the Apple iPod for correctly identifying the data thief. Whodunnit? Find out by visiting The Houston Record front page. The newspaper website will remain online so that readers may continue to enjoy the more than 100 articles of creative writing.

Restricting Access to JOBLOG Deletion with StandGuard
Have you ever tried to reference a joblog to troubleshoot a problem, only to find another user has deleted the joblog? This can cause frustration and leave you with no way of finding out what exactly happened to cause an error. With StandGuard, you can easily restrict who has access to delete joblogs and prevent this frustrating scenario in the future. (Requires a valid StandGuard support ID and password.)

Recording Screens to an Output File with PeekPlus
Have you ever wondered what exactly your Night Operator is doing when you’re not there? Wouldn’t it be nice to keep track of their screens to review the following morning? Or do you have trouble with someone answering messages incorrectly on the Console during day-end operations? With PeekPlus, the PEEK command allows you to document the screen contents of another interactive job and to send the screens to a file or printer. (Requires a valid PeekPlus support ID and password.)
